Google Ad Grants for Nonprofits provides free advertising to eligible nonprofits. In-kind (free) ads for your organization will appear in Google search results. At no cost to your nonprofit you can use these ads to further your mission of making a difference. If this sounds appealing to you, keep reading!

How much free advertising will we get?

Eligible nonprofits receive up to $10,000 of free ads per month. This breaks down to $329 per days for your campaigns. Each ad clicked will use up to $2 of your budget.

Think about how much of a difference $120,000 per year this can make to your marketing plan. Your awareness could double or triple in no time at all.

Why would our nonprofit want free Google ads?

When you want to find information you don’t have access to what do you do? Did you say “I’d Google it?” Most people do. In fact Google now answers 40,000 queries a second. 3.5 billion queries a day.

Being on a Google search result page, especially the first page, is critical to your success. If you are not there, you are missing out on a free opportunity to promote your organization.

Our nonprofit already shows up when I search for it

That’s excellent to hear. Looking only at the name of your nonprofit though is not enough. Think about the completely unaware searcher though? If they only know the topic and you aren’t there, someone else is.

Even when you do show up. Ads are always displayed first. You should be there.

This sounds great, how do we get started?

Excellent, it is only a 5 step process.

  1. The first thing to do is make sure you are eligible

  2. If you are eligible you can then apply for Google for Nonprofits

  3. When you get approved you can enroll in Google Ad Grants

  4. You will now set up a Google AdWords account

  5. A review of your AdWords account is the last step

If you are not already using Google Grants we recommend starting right now. If some of this is still a little unclear or if you would like help mohrDigital is happy to help.
